The origins of New Energy Systems dates back to 1975. At that time the company operated as a power project developer, with main focus on hydro power. Company staff has as such been involved in hydro power plant development in Asia: India, Nepal, Indonesia. More recently, the geographic focus has included old USSR countries and company staff has provided assistance to Norwegian small hydropower plant developers in the Baltic countries.
Company activities in the Baltic countries opened up for supplying equipment to existing CHP based project developers, and today the company works with these developers for optimal system configurations at the lowest system cost.
The company has since the early 1990's taken a strong interest in hydrogen and has initiated several hydrogen technology projects based on established relationships to fuel cell suppliers and other hydrogen technology providers.
Company history reflects a dedicated interest to the power industry and to support new innovative energy technologies. As a technology broker the company will work with technology owners to find the optimal path for technology commercialization. This includes initiation of demonstration projects for technology verification and customer acceptance.
